Comfort Care
Contrary to popular belief, comfort care is not just for end-of-life situations. Expert care of this type can help patients transition back into their own homes. This type of care is mostly focused on pain management and emotional support.
Our approach to pain management includes medication as prescribed by the doctor, non-medication, and complementary methods. Our registered nurses and licensed nursing practitioners administer medication and make sure that the care they receive comes with empathy and kindness.
We are always there to listen to concerns, or simply have a chat. Also, we counsel and work with patients and their families to find ways to help them be as comfortable as possible.
Our comfort care may include physical therapy, recreational activities and, pet therapy which is extremely popular with patients.
Our open-door policy at Fairview means that family members can visit their loved ones when they need to. On Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays we have periods set aside for religious service and spiritual expression.

If you or someone you love is in need of palliative care, please get in touch with us today to find out how we can help.
